Cold Ride Indeed

There I was, resting comfortably in my recliner, dozing off lazily while listening to some streaming audio ambient music when all of sudden, my lovely woman Patti wakes me with a jolt "Get up-company's here!"

It was two friends who ride in my chapter, on bikes, come to say hello. One thing led to another and the thought of a ride out to the reservation came into my head, and before I knew anything else, I was putting on my chaps, leather, and other accessories, preparing to go for a ride. Did I check the temperature? Hell no! The sun was shining and it looked like they weren't freezing to death, so I automatically figured it was ok. Way wrong answer pallie..

I froze my ass off, litereally. You know that cold that is to the bone, and how it seems to rob you of your inner soul? That's the cold I felt, especially after the trip to Holy Dick's place for a visit. Now, it's 5pm and the temps are dropping like a rock in water, I spy my watch and become concerned about the cold, as we are suiting up for the ride home. Passing a bank on the way back the themometer read 41 degrees, and the winds were picking up. Coming up route 78 the winds were from the west, and it hit my face with with such a chill it took my breath away. When I got home, it was difficult to do anything until I got 'thawed' out. No more rides until the thermometer goes above fifty degrees - my ears still hurt from the cold, like a dull earache.

Streaming audio completed...

I've completed the Ambient section of the streaming audio page, and uploaded the asf format streams to the server, created the ASX files and documented the launching page at The streams page.

The database of events continues to see increasing amounts of traffic, as visitors are looking over the tables, and adding thier events at a steady pace. Good way to draw traffic to your site is to provide information to a niche group, as I did for bikers, which I've gotten alot of visits on the site for.

I'm going to upload the guestbook now. Please feel free to sign it, and use a fake email address, so I can't spam you. Like I'd waste my time doing that..

Streaming services now online!

Joys of Joys! I've discovered this morning that my server that hosts hawkwynd.com DOES support streaming asf files from the server, so I have started rebuilding the streaming services pages from the old server. I started with the Ambient sections, and uploaded the .asf and .asx files for the site. Look here to see if the page is ready.

One week later..

Well, it's been a week since the last ride.. The weather has gone to the shitter, it's now 21 degrees, and we've got snow on the ground once more. Fuck. There won't be any riding for another week at the very least, as the weatherfuckingman is calling for cold, rain, cold, snow, wind, clouds, cold, fuck, rain all the way through until fucking next Monday:
