Well, I've made it! I didn't think this week would ever end - long, long days. I've got one more to go through, as I sit this morning an hour early for work, at my desk. Checked my account balance, and I've been paid, so I can breathe a bit easier knowing there is some money in the bank. So, now the task of paying some bills before the money gets drained by life's rich pageant.

I hope the weather holds for tomorrow's ride, as it's something I've been looking forward to for a while. Sunday's a done deal, as I'll probably be spending it at Patti's mothers' place - working on some things she needs being done about her house. Patti returns home on Monday, or Tuesday. It's strange having the house to myself, almost eerie at times, and I don't know if I enjoy it.

I have to contact the bank to inquire about the new cards I've received, and how to go about transfering my money to it.

I want to get Patti's motherboard/processor tonight, and get her system back up and running again, so that she's got a PC working when she gets home tonight. I'll have to call US-Itek and find out what they've got..

2nd night home alone..

It's going to be a quiet night tonight - I'm tired from working, and I'm looking forward to going home, even though Patti is in St. Louis, and I will miss her not being there when I walk through the door.

I didn't sleep too good last night, a bit restless, because I was home alone for the first time. It did feel good to be free of that feeling the LAST time I was left home alone, when I got drunk, and screwed up my life..

First night alone..

A rough one today - the day seemed to drag on and on.. It's now 5:22pm and I've got just over an hour of this shift remaining. Patti left early this morning, and I miss her already. I am not looking forward to going home to an empty house. Lonliness isn't my best attribute.

The Renasiance (sp?) house is hosting a meeting tonight, so I think I'll jump on the bike and take a ride down there for the 8pm meeting.

There's no place I'd rather be, safe and secure with friends, instead of home alone, with my ego.

6:34pm - stuck in my cubical, the walls closing in slowly...

Nuke the whole friggin' country, and let Allah sort out the sinners! These sand-eatin' dirty, un-shaven little gropy bags of protoplasm should be just be laid to waste with a single nuclear action. After the fallout, we could send in the military, and off the remaining bags of jelly still shimmering in the nuclear sunlight. Then, simply get all our people out of there, and leave it to God to sort out the rest of the mess. Then we can go back to what we love doing, being Proud Americans.

searching and finding

Fellowship Note: I was thumbing through the BigBook, and noticed something rather extrordinary on Pp75. Like 'easter eggs' of wisdom, the BB states further 'promises' that are bound to happen as a result of performing the 5th step:

1. We are delighted.
2. We can look the world in the eye.
3. We can be alone at perfect peace and ease.
4. We begin to feel the nearness of our Creator.
5. We begin to have a spritual experience.
6. We feel we are on the onramp of the Broad Highway, hand in hand with our Higher Power.

Just thought I'd point these out - as a result of performing the 5th step, I too have experienced all these 6 things, and continue to experience them several days after doing my 5th step. I am truly amazed, and not even half way through!

Another sunny day, cool but sunny.. Had to drive the van to work today, as I was shipping out another package..
