Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of thier country
Well, now that the hammer has fallen, it's time to begin rebuilding the life where the destruction has torn down the walls of my egoholism and other defects of character.

The first thing is the financial hole. A financial upheval, and overahaul of the way the finances are done is needed. Inventory of all debt, and a payment schedule to get back into the black as soon as possible. I think I may need some help with this, and the consultation of a credit counselor may be the ticket. Also, increasing my income in any means would be helpful. But I have to sit down with the spouse and together we must find a way to trim expenditures.

Oh - by the way - did you know that gasoline now costs 2.11 per gallon? Looks like I'll be taking the bike more before the year is out. Nice weather Saturday may allow this to happen.

More later.

Judgement day has come and gone. I've been blessed with the Lord's graces once more - a financial ding to the account, but this too can be overcome with some extra hours at work.

Thank you God, for sparing me the indignities of my egohelic self.

Where does this end?

Just do this one more thing. There is plenty of time, no you don't have too much to remember. Yes, you still have to be perfect on all your technical recommendations. God help you if the process is broke, you are still hosed if you don't get all the ancilliary chores done. And yes you are expected to absorb an infinite number of possibilities and variations on this theme.

No, I'm not doing this.

Everyone thinks they are being helpful by suggesting extra steps and rules in the process to ensure that something happens correctly when the lack is not on our part but on the process. Fix the damm process, don't add another band aid to make it work inspite of the fact that it is broken.

A technican doesn't set work flow process for the group.
Anne doesn't even though she tries.
David doesn't even though he tries.
Dennis doesn't and shouldn't have to.
Troy doesn't and neither does any other technician unless specifically given responsibility for the particular instance by managment.

Responsibility and authority for these items rests in one place and it isn't in a technicians chair.

If I tell anyone here to do something, where do I get that authority from?
Aren't I overstepping my authority (which I have none) by instructing someone here on how to spend their time here that Ingram pays for?

Managements responsibility is to allocate the resources here.
That means my time, your time and anyone elses time that that have authority over.
They were hired for one job and I another.

Tueday night Doldrums
It was a wet and windy October evening.. I was sitting at my desk, fiddling about with the laptop, listening to the Joe and Charlie MP3 BigBook study guide, while I tinkered about the desk between calls. There was a fell voice on the winds outside my window - calling gently to the evening air. The clouds, looming low and ominous, preparing for evening battle with the night skies.

A crow flew by then, as if by coincidence, winked into nothingness.

Interviewed for new position
I had my interview for the new position today. The interview went well, and I feel confident I did my best to present to my interviewers my best assets. It was a light-hearted, smile-full interview, with a few curve-ball questions thrown in for 'good measure'.

Corperate-like questions that really have no 'right' answer..

"If you could do anything you wanted in your life, what would it be?"
"What part of the team do you find you fit the best?"
"Why are you applying for this position?" (Dumb-ass question)

So, I now wait while they take thier time to decide to give me the job or
reject me (like I think they will). I will keep you posted.

Over and out..
