Back on 2 wheels

Just when things looked darkest...

The mech picked up the dragon Thursday, after we diagnosed the coil being the culprit to the problem with the wet bike. A phone call the next day to report the coils indeed were cracked, and would need to be replaced: time out, about a week on the bench with a $400.00 +- price tag to boot. So, time to begin planning where the cash would be coming for that, and I think we'll need some extra hours at work to make up the difference this week.

A great friend is letting me ride his Vulcan for the week - a generous, kind thing to do indeed! So, I'm on another red bike for the time the dragon's in the shop and it's a bit faster, more power V-twin that I'm really enjoying riding! Nice sound too!! Vrooms like a tiger, and has some great handling! Kawasaki did a good job on this model, which sort of resembles a softail in many respects.

We'll see how Patti likes it today when I take her for a ride. No rain in the forecast, just needs to get a bit warmer before she's going to climb on.
