Happy July 1st!
This last week of June, the temps have soared above 80, and often into the 90's. Sunshine galore, heat all day and night, and no wind. The absolute perfect bikers' weather. And where's mine? In the fucking shop!!!!

God's way of teaching me something, besides patience. I guess his brand of humor is one thing I've yet to comprehend - maybe never will, either.

It's Friday morning, the last day of being a cage driver, my little red dragon comes home from the motor-hospital with replaced coils, and a 360 dollar bill for the troubles. Mech said it took the coil 6 days to get here from California. Oh well - it's coming home tonight and tonight I'm going riding, riding and then - riding some more throughout the entire mother-flicking weekend!

Weather reports are still calling for 80's and mugginess, more goose for the gander as I'll be riding the snot out of my newly rebuilt little dragon, and getting some wind into my lungs once more.

Pause here, while I make some phone calls for a ride to the meeting this morning...

Yesterday was the close of the 2nd quarter, what a day indeed! Went in at 9pm and worked on until 10:15 that night, closing orders, deals, and getting as much money in as we could before the bell rang (not a real bell) to close the quarter. People were still there when I left - hammering away at thier keyboards, and yacking it up with the folks in California, making the sale. They fed us pretty good too - lunch and dinner was paid for by the company, which I think is a really nice thing to do.

It was a learning experience indeed - seeing the eyes of my fellow workers light up as we all pulled together and worked hard to make the numbers all add up to big things. Wonder what they'll do next quarter?? Kinda got ugly once in a while but as the night wore on, the happiness of a job well done prevailed and we all went home without any grudges.
Today, we're just cleaning up the old orders, and getting ready to start again on Tuesday when we return from the long, well-deserved holiday.

I'm riding this weekend - nuthin' else. And what's wrong with that? Not a damned thing. I'm going to get some of the rubbing compound that Kenny used to clear up a scratch on the Kawasaki - that shit is great for buffing a shine back into a luster-less paint job - I was really impressed! I'll have to remember to ask him what that shit is, so I can nab a bottle tonight before the bike comes home -man do I miss it! Then, I'm going to ride over every stinking inch of roads in Niagara and Erie county before the weekend is out. My ass is going to be so sore from riding I'm going to have to stand for a week before I can sit down again - THAT's how much riding I'm going to be doing this weekend. Non-stop, balls-to the wall, 80MPH with the wind in the hair, day and night cruising!!! WHOOOOHOOOO!!!

Ok. Cya Later.
