September just blew by...
The month of September whipped by faster than hurricanes Katrina and Rita combined. I got more of the office done, but didn't get any 'good' rides in, save one. Last Sunday, actually 2 Sundays ago, the Bills were losing (shocker) and I was plopped on the couch watching the debacle, when the thought occurred to me that it's absolutely perfect weather for a jaunt to Warsaw. It was 4:30, and if I left right away, I could be back in time for my 7:30 meeting.

I lept off my recliner, and in seconds had my boots on and was heading out the door towards the Road King. A wonderful ride, indeed, 79 degrees, and not a cloud in the sky. I distinctly remember the ride along Four Rod road, and mavelling at the farm-houses and rolling hills as I putted along towards route 20a, the road to Varysburg.

I arrived in Varysburg, an discovered I had no cash. Can't get a soda without some, so I buzzed up the hill to the gas station to hit the ATM machine (the only one in Varysburg). Luck would have it -it' out of order. I asked the young girl behind the counter if she knew where I might find another one, to which she replied "Warsaw - at the bank on Main st."

"How long to Warsaw?" I inquired.
"Ten, maybe 15 minutes" she bleeped.

I was now determined to make it back in less than 1/2 an hour and blasted into Warsaw where I found the bank, right where the little cashier said it would be.

$20.00 for the wallet, and I'm rolling back to Varysburg to enjoy that soda. I remember coming down the hill and seeing all the bikes parked in front of the Varysburg Hotel, and wondering "What a great day - I'm not the only one with this kind of thinking."

I ordered a Pepsi and listened to the other riders bullshit-it-up on the porch while I sat thumbing over the map to see which way I wanted to go home.

"Are you lost, honey?" came a voice from across the porch.
"Huh?" I stammered.
"Lost... are you lost, honey?" she said again. I looked up at a middle-aged, leather clad biker babe with flame red hair, and pair of chaps that make your teeth wiggle.

I kept my composure, thinking "Oh, I am now!" and answered calmly "Thank you, but I'm just seeing which is the best way home." When my dick would have said "Yeah, I'm lost, can you take me home with you so I can find my throbbing member in your mouth?"

I didn't, and continued to glance over the map, unable to concentrate on directions and watched this hot biker chick walk over to her harley, and fucking kick-start the thing! Damn! What legs!!! She proceeded to dress with the gloves and the helmet and blasted back towards route 77 up the big hill that comes into Varysburg.

Shes going the same way I am. The chase was on - I didn't want to get too close, but I thought I'd just see which way she was going. I couldn't catch up to her as there were enough cage drivers between us to keep me from getting any closer than a dot on the next hill as I crested mine.

A right turn onto 4-rod and I was heading home, thankful I didnt do anything stupid or embarrass myself at all.

Heading back, I absolutely adored the scenery, and wished this ride had started alot earlier than it did. I was loving the ride, and didn't want it to end. I pulled in to the church for the meeting, and proudly exited the bike, thinking "I am blessed, truly, truly blessed!"

More later..
